Remote start fob.

I have a 2022 Platinum dually. When I took possession of the truck, the remote start worked fine, the green or red light on the remote did NOT light up though. The service department said Ford was cutting back on things like this because of the chip shortage caused by covid. Last week I remotely started my diesel and the green light blinked a few times and then stayed on for a few seconds confirming the truck started. Was there a flash sent out to update the key fob ????
