i live in a very very liberial county, and hippies are everywhere; protesting on the local mill for airpollution, and protesting logging. nothing gets me more happy then turning my truck up and head to the courthouse were protesters hang out and just chuff black smoke all over them. me and my buddies get like 3 or 4 trucks and circle the courthouse just chuffin, espically when they protesting are out because of the mill for air pollution. if they pass a law making diesel go threw a smog test u can thank me, im an ass i know but its worth it!

These little turds don't understand that if we all believed in their idiot ways we would be speaking Russian or Chinese (now that I think about it, they probably would like that) by now. As far as I'm concerned it is their fault that gas/diesel prices are were they are at and why we have to police the Middle East and put up with puny dictators! I do believe that the majority of this country has common sense but is too wrapped up in their lives to counter-act these idiot 'squeeky wheels' that have nothing better to do (cause they sure ain't workin'!) Sorry for the rant! Can you tell I'm about at the end of my rope with snot nosed protestors!

There are more hippie types in Humboldt County than redwoods , but at least you're not at ground zero (Garberville/Redway). You could move to Redding and be with your kind of people.

dont know if i got hippies here but i turn mine up all the time and smoke everything/anything and everybody/anybody i see especially white cars. i usually get told im #1 but i once got a 2 thumbs up for filling this kids nissan with soot.he drove by me with it coming out the windows and sunroof with his hands out the windows giving the 2 thumbs up with a huge grin on his face.me and my buddy laughed our asses off for about 10 minutes for that one!

I don't think we have hippies here in DA U.P., but we do have more than enough tree-huggers to go around.

A company is trying to open a new underground mine north of Marquette. It has become the new battle cry for every tree-hugger within a 500 mile radius. If this mine opens, it's supposed to be like the only nickel mine in the USA and be the most enviromentally controlled & monitored mine ever in Michigan.

The tree huggers claim the area will be better served by preserving the area as is for tourism and the area will better benefit from the resulting tourism based jobs, i.e. food service or hopitality businesses. So the bottom line is the tree huggers are trying to convince everyone that a person can make a better living as a minimum wage waitress or hotel housekeeper vs a mining or manufacturing job.
