Ok, i have narrowed my search down to two trucks.

My first choice
03 F350 CC DRW 7.3L 4x4

• $?? still havent contacted the dealer
• 82,411 Miles
o The last 40K miles have been a registered fleet truck
• 10K miles ago was in a small accident (driver turned too early in a dairy queen drive through)
• 4x4 – not sure if a good thing, probably wont use it
• 7.3L Diesel
• According to FlatRateTech.com the OASIS report had: had friction modifier added to rear end, mirror glass replacement for falling out, two tires for bulging, oil leak at high pressure pump (orings), the accel pedal sensor recall was done, a rear main seal, a high pressure oil pump, and 2 injectors (1 and 3).

I really like that it is a 7.3L but i really dont like the 4x4. I plan on moving to Forth Worth, TX and my play toy is the mustang so i dont plan on going 4 wheelin'.

Runner Up
03 F350 CC DRW 6.0L 2 wheel drive

• $30,914 (haven’t contacted dealer yet)
• 47,289 miles
• No accidents, CARFAX came up 100% clean
• OASIS: The fuel injection control module was replaced; the turbocharger was replaced, the right front window regulator was replaced, it's had an alternator replaced and the PCM has been reprogrammed a couple times. No open campaigns.

I like that it is 2 wheel drive but not sure about the 6.0L.

So what do you guys think? The truck will be used for a daily driver and as a tow vehicle. As a matter of fact as soon as i buy it i will use it to tow my Saleen from Delaware to Missouri so i can sell it. Then when i get back to the states for good (i work out of country) i plan on moving down to TX - so once again the truck will be used to tow my current Cobra as well as my tool box and other stuff. Other then occasionally towing my Cobra around it will be a daily driver to and from work.

Any and ALL comments are welcome.
-Mike

*EDIT* What do you think is a fair price for each truck?

That sounds like a good 6.0. No problems other than the usual reflashes. Mine had 57,000 miles and no problems. I really like it. I have had a 7.3 in the past and I liked that also.

Thanks Dave, the truck doesnt look like it has any reoccuring problems either.

Any guess on what the truck would be worth? Is $31k decent or do you think i can knock it down a little?

I think the $31,000 is pretty high. I paid $37,000 for my 03 6.0 crew cab 4 wheel drive srw lariat brand spanking new. Just to give you an idea I owe $20,000 on it still so you have some sort of idea how much money somebody is making off the sale. Hope it helps

4WD trucks are not need in Texas IMO unless you have land or pull boats out of the water.

Thats a tough choice you have there, but I would go with 7.3. Mainly on maintenence costs. I think parts for the 6.0 will be going up after the new motor comes out since it was a short run. I think both trucks would treat you good though.

The price is wayyy to high for the 6.0 ... even here in California you can get a brand new 06 for just over 30 grand... as a matter of fact I just saw an ad in the paper for a new 2006 F250 4x4 Xtra cab LB XLT with the PS for 28,999 at a local dealer ship... said they had 7 in stock! I was thinking about getting one

I have had zero, knock on wood, problems with my 03. Love it, it has never been flashed nothing. It is a little slow in the morning until it gets warmed up but other than that has been perfect.
