Well....I know mine isn't different from everyone elses, but I took the bolts out that hold it to the motor and then unscrewed it from around the radiator and lifted it up and out of the motor. It took some "finageling"........and a TON of very bad words........but I didn't have to cut mine.

I did pull the air filter out and took off both boost tubes and both the upper and lower radiator hoses (I was changing them also) but my fan shroud is in one piece.

Sooooo, what your saying is... You took the easy way out :lmao

I think we are talking about two dif. thing here. Theres a shroud on top of the main fan shroud. Now the shroud on top of the main fan is the one you have to remove to get to the belt.
