new ones are going in on saturday, I have less than 1/4 tank and i am trying to burn down to the low fuel light and maybe drop the tank saturday and clean it out, poon it and put in a drain plug.:D
the crapp i drained last night made me nervous it was gellin up so we got some critters growing in there, which means we also still have a ton of water.
this is starting to get $$$$.
now if i can find the instructions on dropping the tank, its been awhile

Well if it's not any different than the 7.3s you can look in the Wiki.:D

May wanna get some critter killer too!

Just a little FYI I found out with my experiences and talking to the bio distributor from Denton, the algae is white and the black pepper looking stuff is the excrement from it.

my gelatinous substance looks more like clear silicone does when gasoline hits it,
wonder if the powerservice additive is making it congeal into a gelatin.

i will go read the wiki.

I gotta drain mine too. Haven't done it in forever.

I don't know what diesel looks like so I dunno when to stop draining. Can anybody help me out a little bit? Can't wait for my bath in #2.

powerboatr, i had this problem about a month after i got my truck. I drained the fuel from the little block past the fuel filter under the truck. Did this several times. WIF light would still come on after a day or so. Then i took the face plate off of the little block, picked all of the junk out of the bottom of it, gave it a good cleaning. Then changed the fuel filters. Hasn't been a problem since. That was about 9 months ago. Also you'll need a new o-ring for the face plate. Hope this helps.

its fixed
several gallons of fuel drained and filters changed.
I drained , repressurized and drained again over 12 times.
new filter , shot of powerservice, pumped in 27 gallons of fresh fuel

i cleaned out about two table spoons of gelatinous gunk and sand from the tank and filter head.

we shall give here a week and see?
