My light came on 1 time with about 30,000 on the clock, and it was from a chaffed wire harness. I did all the work myself per a Ford TSB, and that was that. Truck now has 155,000 and I've never had a problem with HFCM. The fuel filter change isn't pleasant, but I'm used to it. As far as pulling and cleaning the entire unit due to wax build-up, sounds like Bravo Sierra.
