Want to change your fuel filter w/o the mess?

Just tried this and it worked great.

Take a piece of tin foil and make a catch area under the filter along the frame rail. make sure you have a "funnel" at one end. Loosen the cap and you have a clean filter change. :sweet

See attached photo.

Looks like it would work, but I just attached a hose to drain nozzle, open up the valve, empty the fuel into a bucket that I put the hose into. :dunno
maybe you have a 6 oh and they're different :dunno don't remember leaking fuel my way. :sweet

Yep - they "improved" the 6-oh such that it IS a mess !!!!!!!!!!

Bet the foil trick might help with the draining of the fuel filter too...

or would the plastic 2 liter still be the best approach ?

BRILLIANT!! Hold it on there with some duct tape and that's one humdinger of an idea.
