Turbo surge

Finally got it out. I see now I took off too many things for where I brought it out from.

I was just about to give up, but I drove to the Ford store and sat down and talked to the diesel tech and gotta few pointers from him. 10 minutes later, had it out.

I took the turbo back to my friend the diesel tech at the Ford store and he told me how to go about taking the turbo apart and how to clean it. Gotta get started on that here in a bit.

you may have sucked that mesh screen on the zoodad completely thru the screw.I know mine is startin to twist and give way .

Roy, you da man. I needed that info so I can compare to my turbo.
Mine looks pretty good compared to that one in the article, but I think it would still be good to use a refinishing kit like that one to clean mine up even more.

I have used 2 cans of cleaner on it so far it does look better.

Where can I get the kit that they used?"

Started having surging problems, so my first thought was the turbo.

As far as the tools to resurface the turbo parts as in that write-up Roy posted, I guess I will have to make a trip to the auto parts store or even Lowe's.
