turbo surge

i pulled my fifth wheel on sunday and since i installed the afe stage 2 intake i have a lot of surge now and don't sound good at all some input on what to do wicked wheel or ported turbo housing from ats it is a stock turbo 2003 ford 7.3 liter

I did the Wicked Wheel about 5 years back which cured the surge,a great investment

I've got the same issue and have been debating between the Wicked Wheel and the ATS ported housing. Basically from what I've read is the WW MIGHT fix it, and the ported housing WILL fix it.

WW fixed mine till I got hotter tunes. Do the ATS and be done.

How hot of tunes were you running when the WW was okay? I plan on getting the DP with the 80hp econo and the 60hp tow and maybe one of the 120hp race just for giggles.

I was running the edge uploader 60/80/110 IIRC. I was fine in 80 and I think the 110 as well. Tony doesn't rate his tunes with power levels, but I know I surge on the hottest one.
