Turbo gone?

So if I just don't put the hose back on and drive it to the dealer like it is they would most likely put a new turbo on it?


probaly not...unless there is actually something wrong with turbo....


IMO...just put the hose back on and drive it for a couple of days. if you still have issues then take it in....

not sure where this is going, but a intercooler hose blowing off does not equal a bad turbo.
IC hoses blowing off is a very common occurence on these 6.0 engines

pcv blow by is a big culprit as a not ver robust attatchment at the turbo exit and IC entrance.


fact of the matter if a hose blows off under load it does sound like a tire blowing followed by a horrendous jet engine noise and rushing of air as you give it throttle.

it is also very easy to fry a piston if you keep getting on the go pedal after a hose is off, egt's will spike and go out of control very easy, which could inturn cost you or ford a set of heads and pistons and ...
