Well good luck with all that! my 04 had a similar problem, minus the coolant. dealer never could duplicate it, i started it one morning, tons of white and blue smoke were pouring out, and it had no power, i drove straight to the dealer withit smokinbad still, once i got in the drive it smoothed out and stopped smoking!!! i culdnt blieve it, and noone saw it..so they went and checked codes and found nothing, i just got rid of it and bought a dang dodge...(biggest mistake) hopefully my next 6.0 will be better.

well theres no accounting for crappy dealers thats for sure...
your trucks are mechanical...they can be fixed...as long as the right
person is involved and interested.

obviously you should have tried other dealers...sorry for your trouble.

No scheduled cleaning or replacement. I had to replace my EGR cooler at 78,000 as it was leaking.

Does anyone know - is there a number of hours when the EGR generally needs to be cleaned or replaced on average??

in a word...it DEPENDS...on idling, fuel quality and driving
style...for starters. some become soot "plugged" in less
than 20k miles, others turn out to operating fine and fairly
clean beyond 50k

I still kick myself everyday for getting rid of that truck...everytime it was in th shop they gave me another powerstroke to drive. it takes beggin when the douche is in the shop for a ride home!!!
