im looking to buying a exhaust setup for my 06 and i was wondering what others were running and if they like it.

also i want to get a tuner, irealy like the banks pda because of all the guages that it can display not to mention you can do a ton of ther things with the pda, i was looking at using it with the ottomind tunner, all of the stuff that comes in the stinger bundle. i was wondering whatwas realy your best buy on the tuner mpg side of it.

MBRP all the way. My uncle has a 4" turbo back MBRP dual system without the cat on his 05 Cumapart. It sounds really good, even with the muffler, and looks really good too. He has 5" slash-cut tips and angle exit. It looks real sharp.

I love my Banks PDA, due to it's functionality and on the fly adjustability of power levels.

I personally believe that Banks is a very safe way to go, and you shouldn't have very many if any problems running their products.

However, they are no where close to giving you the most bang for your buck, you can get more HP with an SCT tuner with custom tunes, and an MBRP exhaust, and for less money. But then you need traditional guages.

The Banks PDA monitors 15 different engine parameters, and alerts you if any one of them exceed safe parameters, it's like having 15 guages in your truck, but you don't have to look at them all at once, since it monitors them for you.
That is the biggest reason I still use my PDA and sixgun, as opposed to switching over to an SCT and regular guages.

Knick makes some great points...another "flip-chips", Quadzilla
monitors several different CRITICAL engine parameters
and it will NOT let you run the truck HARD 1) until
everything is warmed up and 2) if anything is out of spec.

the quadzilla power increase and delivery is very smooth
and the increase is across the entire throttle range...very
smooth and consistant (some deliver the increase "all of sudden"
and w/out much warning...somewhat unpredictable)

SCT is a great "bang for the buck" and you dont have to get additional gauges if you use the Livewire Tuner. You will just need to get a boost sensor and EGT Kit. Here are two links the first is for the X3 (hand held) and Livewire (Live Display) tuners and the second link is for the EGT kit.

good LORD the egt "sensor kit" is 200 bucks by itself !
and the live wire (monitor display) is another 570.... kinda
steep if you ask me.

i personally dont like STICK on displays...windshield suction cup
mounts are an invitation for some tweeker to break into (an already
easily broken into) truck.

not that im a fan of banks but the pda can be slid under the seat
or hidden in the console boxes (outta sight)

the edge w/ juice is another one (although ive been told the power
delivery is TERRIBLE...not very smooth...all or nothing at weird

the edge A2 monitor is another "suction cup" special....neat display
(weird layout/shape) but it puts you in the 800 buck 'hood too...or
higher if you add back up cam. and gps (which no one else seems to do).
throttle positions).

im no fan of EITHER of the quadzilla displays...the recon looks
cheap & cheezie and the commander is another suction
cup UGLY...even when its pillar mounted

w/ the quadzilla stuff you DONT have to use their displays and the
added power delivery is SMOOTH from idle to WFO

Here is the "Old School" side of me. A pillar gauges, love the look, always have always will. The livewire has the display and all, but for me it would be the X3 Tuner and Gauges from Autometer. After your done tuning unplug it and put it under the seat or some where out of site, then you have a great look of the guages and no other distractions.

I am with you on the Window Mount (suction cup) I prefer the California Mount (Dash Mount). Keep in mind that the EGT kit is Plug and Play with the Livewire. After market EGT sensors can be used with the Livewire as well, to keep costs down.

Thanks Bush, The Banks PDA does the same thing, I just forgot to mention it, you can't run the truck Hard, untill it's warmed up, and only when everything is in spec, it also briefly lowers power at up shifts, to help protect the tranny.

The power is very smooth and consistent throughout the power band, my wife can handle the truck just fine, even on the highest setting. It drives pretty much like stock, just with lots more power, everything is real smooth, I can honestly say I have no complaints.

And make sure you due "stash" your PDA away when not in the vehichle, I never used to then on my B-day, (of all days) someone busted my window out and stole it and the whole cradle out of the truck, never even opened the door. All said and done it was $1500 to fix all the damage and replace stuff. Insurance helped with the glass and damage, but wouldn't cover the PDA, as they say it wasn't a permanently installed item, same with the cradle...what a load of:bs
