Text of H.R.45 as Introduced in House: Blair Holt's Firearm Licensing and Record of Sale Act of 2009 - U.S.... OpenCongress

Congress is now starting on the firearms confiscation bill. If it passes, lawful gun owners will become criminals if they do not fully comply.
It has started. Very Important for you to be aware of a new bill HR 45 introduced into the House. This is the Blair Holt Firearm Licensing & Record of Sale Act of 2009.
Even gun shop owners didn't know about this because the government is trying to fly it under the radar. To find out about this - go to any government web site and type in HR
45 or Google HR 45 Blair Holt Firearm Licensing & Record of Sales Act of 2009. You will get all the information. Basically this would make it illegal to own a firearm - any rifle with a clip or ANY pistol unless: It is registered -You are fingerprinted -You supply a current Driver's License -You supply your Social Security # -You will submit to a physical & mental evaluation at any time of their choosing -
Each update change of ownership through private or public sale must be reported and costs $25 - Failure to do so you automatically lose the right to own a firearm and are subject up to a year in jail. -There is
a child provision clause on page 16 section 305 stating a child-access provision. Gun must be locked and inaccessible to any child under 18. - They would have the right to come inside your house without your permission and inspect that you are storing your gun safely away from accessibility to children and fine is punishable for up to 5 yrs. in prison.

If you think this is a joke - go to the web site and take your pick of many options to read this. It is long and lengthy. But, more and more people are becoming aware of this. Pass the word along. Any hunters
in your family pass this along. This is just a "termite" approach to complete confiscation of guns and disarming of our society to the point we have no defense - chip away a little here and there until the goal is
accomplished before anyone realizes it.

This is one to act on whether you own a gun or not. If you take my gun, only the criminal will have one to use against me. HR 45 only makes me/us less safe.

Please.. copy and send this message to EVERYONE you know, whether you support the Constitution of the United States and the 2nd Amendment for the Individual Right to Keep and Bear Arms, as I do, or favor gun control and a different form of government. The consequences of this legislation cannot be under estimated..

Oooo... need to tread lightly on this one...
every session of Congress, a bill like this gets introduced..
I see on this one, no one has co-sponsored it and it got referred to comittee eight months ago..
I'd say it's dead.
Luckily.

yeah, i think its 'dead' too...
consider that the dumb a$h who introduced is a convicted black panther of nothing less than gun crimes himself..

you can expect us illinoisans to stand up and say look at the crap that we deal with to get our cards demonstating how that model does not work...

and not to mention that the kid its named for was killed by a gun that a 13yo ganbanbger sold the gun to the 15yo shooter,

that handguns are 'banned' in chicago, are already examples of how the current gun laws don;t work.

don't get me mtarted

I got this E mail today I'm looking in to it now. I'll let you know what I find.

Subject: Government Control of Household Guns !!!

A friend of mine was at a Gun Show in Atlanta recently
and saw the ATF had a table set up.
He asked them what they were doing there and they told him about this new law.
Get ready. Scary just got scarier.

Senate Bill SB-2099 will require you to put on your 2009 1040 federal tax form
all guns that you have or own.
It may require fingerprints and a tax of $50 per gun.

Both Snopes and Truth-or-Fiction say this is true..
And the government is trying to get it done before we know about it.
Sounds familiar??
This is true. I am forwarding to everyone I know!
Plus giving my Reps and Senators an ear full !!!!!
I just now checked Snopes for verification!
(Wed, 19 Aug 2009 11:37:40 GMT snopes.com: Handgun Safety and Registration Act )

Did you ever hear or do you know anything about these two bills?

URGENT!!!

in these times, with all the hate mongering and negativism getting thrown around, i think we have to check our facts before passing it on.
