Truck is doing the long start

no it wont. my gpr died and no cel. but in Florida you have to plug it in??

OK. Well the plug in was a test to see if the truck would start after sitting for 12 hours with the block being warm. So it's give me some insight into the glow plugs are not working right.

first thing to do is in the AM (cold) is to check if your GPR is working. Key off you will get on the one terminal (on top) will have power and on the other you wont. Untill key on with the WTS light on check the GPR to see if the other terminal now has power. If not you have a bad GPR and it will need to be replaced. in the meantime if its really hard to start you can jump the terminals to get the glow plugs working and then hop in and it should start right up like it did back before it went out.

I for got about my boxs of MC parts :sweet and went digging last night and found a new GPC and 8 new GP. Also found 2 new starters and a new alt. I did put the GPC on last night and still no fix. Wife having a nut over this so it's off to the dealer. :eek:

How come I feel a raping coming on........:nudge :censored:

It's fixed. They found a bad ground that me and the tec. both tested and it was in spec. But after some long crank time it burst in it flames at the dealer. The bad spot was in the middle of the cable under the rubber coding, EZ to miss looking at it. :sweet:sweet.

glad you got it fixed. now its time for me to replace my batterys (4yrs old):doh: its getting cold round here
