truck blowing whitish blue smoke (need help)

yes, blue is oil, white is fuel. i know black is fuel too but good fuel, white is bad. white means an injector issue. uve probly got a bad injector or two. definately get it to the ford store. i had the same experience with my 04 and two injectors later it was fixed. good luck.

white is gonna be coolant in the exhaust. i have blown too many EGR coolers to recognize the white smoke.

hey red....mine has smoke like that a couple of times at start up, was concered at first but hasn`t done it lately...knock on wood....:red ....soon i hope....-popcorn

Mine smokes like that too! It only seems to do it when the weather gets colder though. I'm kinda happy if it smokes a little blue during startup at least the cylinders are getting lubricated!

they told me it was three recalls. one was my egr, rbp? sensor and something else. they told me it would have been close to a $1000 without warranty. i'm just glad my baby is ok and running good again.:cool:

cool i "guessed" right, see earlier post/guess.


yeah 1000 bucks...the egr is 150 bucks (can be had on ebay for less
then 75).

when i had a failed/recalled egr they billed ford almost 500 bucks...

ive had my egr out, cleaned it and re-installed in all in less than
an hour...assuming i replaced it id have all of 20min in code
reading, removing & replacing the egr...how that adds up
to 500 bucks is WAY beyond me.
