Just purchased 2004 F350 Tuesday. Wife just called and said it has a trouble light staying on. Says it's up by the trans temp guage, looks like a "staging light" from the drag strip to her. Sounds like a temp light of some sort to me. No owners manual for reference. What is this light indicating, and is it safe to drive?
Engine is still cold, temps about 60 degrees outside.

I can't see what your wife sees, but it could be the low fuel light. Have her fill it up and see if it goes out. That or maybe a "Service Engine Light" (SEL)? Sorry for not much help.

Had to go turn myine on to get the light to light up. the one she is talking about looks like a staging light and has an arrow on the right side would be the engine air filter light. In other words the air filter restriction gauge has reached the change filter mark. Pull out your air filter and look at it also make sure your air restriction gauge connector is plugged in.
