PSD Gurus,

I had my SES light on this Am and thenit went off this afternoon. Went to AutoZone for a code scan. The scanner kicked out the following 2 codes:

P1391
P1393

Any Ideas?

TIA

P1391 Glow Plug Circuit Low Input Bank No. 1(Right)

P1393 Glow Plug Circuit Low Input Bank No. 2 (Left)

I would check the Glow Plug relay to start with. It might be starting to get some resistance between the terminals.

Yes, you can get GPR's from the auto parts store...... Autozone, Checkers, Napa etc etc.......... They are relatively inexpensive. There is a better source from Stancor, but you probably wont find it locally. So, if you need it now... get it from NAPA, if you can wait, order it online. The Stancor a much heavier unit and it will last longer.

Here is the part number on the Stancor............. Get it from Allied Electronics PN# 576-1078 (Stancor Heavy Duty 586-902)

When my GPR went out I got mine from O'reilly's for like $85 I think. NAPA had them too but wanted only like 5 bucks less than the dealer which was like 130 bucks.

I think you need to find out if you have a GPR. Some Ex's(Cali Emissions I think) had what I've seen posted as a GPM. Glow Plug Module I think.

This is what a GPR looks like, the brown relays are on the left. One is the Intake Air Heater and one is the GPR, it's the one toward the rear of the vehicle.

Hope that helps!:)

$67.99 at NAPA or $56.54 at Powerstrokeshop.com which is one of our sponsors. The winner is? :propeller
Correct you are Crumm, only posted NAPA's link to show price, someone had mentioned that it was only about 5 bux less than Ford, and that didnt sound right to me. Also, NAPA is right down the street from most everybody, so if it was a "gotta have it right now" item then there it is.
