The connector on the bottom of the motor itself is the one that powers the motor. All I did was hook up the probes from my multimeter to the car battery then touch the probes to the two little prongs in the connector. The polarity wont really matter if it is reversed the motor will just turn backwards. It turns so slowly you can disconnect it before it turns very much at all.

1goug76,
I checked both motors like you said. They both work, go figure!

I also measured DC voltage at the connector to the switch and read the following.
With the clip on top.
1-0.2mV
2-1.2mV
3-6.28V
4-30.8mV

I am going to try switching the relays then not sure what to do next?

jasowiii,

I am not sure what the voltage should be there, I just had my brother check the switch for continuity while I was under the truck checking other things and he said it was ok, that was all I knew. But everything you are doing is bringing back memories of a week of pure misery that I had trying to find my problem. One thing you can do, if you have a good one, is call the dealership and talk to a tech, ask him what the voltage should be at certain points and go from there. That is what I should have done, it may have saved me a day or two and a lot of cussing my truck. Good luck I am sure you will find the source of the problem. Keep us posted.

well you're not getting voltage down there anything in the mV range is way too low and is just line noise more than voltage on this application.

You should have in the 12-14V neighborhood for voltage, unfortunately I don't have the wiring diagrams for an SD so I can't give you a good answer there on which ones to check and what should have voltage.
