Trans Fluid Change

Ok, I'm freaking out! I have 27,500 miles and my service manual does not call for a trans service of ANY KIND until 30,000. No filter, no external filter, no frame mounted filter, no fluid change, no flush, no nothing and I'm using the severe service interval. I even checked on line based on my profile, driving habits, etc. and the recommended service based on my profile does not call for any type of trans service until 30,000 miles. I'm driving an 06 f-350 cc 4wd 6.0 psd. What did I miss on the service interval?

I believe for that service interval you have to change you oil and filter at 5,000 miles and yes at 30,000 you change the trans filter and fluid and also both fuel filters. fuel filters are at every 15,000, and trans is every 30,000. Hope that helps

Yeah, that's what I've got, but Bush's comment was that you should be on your second by-pass filter so I'm confused.

w/ the 6.0 and even w/in the YEARS of the 6.0.
7500mi for the oil & filter change (although many of
us change @ 5k...my recommendation is that you
sample and TEST your oil @ 5k, if you want to
try and make the 7500k intervals).
are you guys aware there IS a by-pass transmission filter ?
my book calls for the transmission by-pass filter REPLACEMENT
@ 15k or 20k...it is the EASIEST filter to change and generally
collects a fair amount of metalic filings.
many owners perform the 1st filter and fluid changes MUCH
earlier than called for...when new wear metals are PLENTIFUL
and most are interested in removing those...as they say its
cheap insurance.

the INTERNAL trans filter is does NOT call for servicing til 100k,
unless the trans has been opened up !
