dont know if any of you have heard about it but toyota has recalled thier tacoma pickup 94-00.i cant find any official info online about it.but they are being recalled for the weak and rotted frames.must be a silent recall.they are buying back every one of them they sold for 1.5 excellent book value.my friend is running them from the yard to the port.i was looking at about 4000 of them today!they are coming into this junkyard at a rate of 150 a day.owner of the yard said there are 825,000 of them and 75% of them are on the east coast.

found this TOYOTA OPEN ROAD BLOG: Living Up to Our Commitment toyota claims its not a recall but i was also told the DMVs are pulling the registrations and insurance on ALL of them here and not allowing any of them back on the road.we left the yard with 15 of them crushed and stacked on the trailer.as we were leaveing a car hauler loaded with fresh ones was pulling in.

825,000 x 150% book = New meaning to "Toyota Tough" :sweet

I wish they would recall one of my inlaws tacoma... He has the red truck nutz and he painted the rear diff red to match! I almost peed in my pants when he went out his way to show me his "mods" ! I had uncontrollable laughter.....he was pretty mad!

it was amazing.ive never seen soooooooooooooo many toyotas in one yard.the whole yard is full.they have one area for trucks to turn around in and the rest is toyotas.and every one of them have rotted or broken frames.:eek:if i get a camara ill try to get a few pics one of these days.they are expected this to take atleast a year.they dont have enough trucks to move them fast enough.they are coming in faster than they are leaving.
