Anyone towing extended distance with a 4" straight pipe turbo-back ? Looking for some feedback on interior noise difference from muffler being present. Daily driving is just typically me going to work - no trailer - so I'm not concerned with noise. During towing though, I don't need family YELLING over eachother during extended camping voyages (more than normal) :roflmao.

Info:
Towing approx. 10,000lb with 3.73 gear.:thanks

i had straight on my 04 and i never really heard it that much, mainly just when it hits 2500-2700 rpm, then i heard it a bit, but its not annoying like a dodge. i think ull like it!....still missing that truck terribly....

I had a 3.5" straight pipe from the turbo back before I installed my 4" dual kit. With or without a load on the truck at highway speeds you could barely notice it. I found with the straight pipe you hear more of a turbo whistle than a rumble. Interior noise was about the same as my current duals.

I am also thinking of a straight piping my duals. :sly :sly

Black06, Thanks for the part# Let us know how it sounds.

Installed without issue. Interior noise - no difference. When you put your foot in it, it sounds like a big-block 60's with a glass-pack. Turbo whine is fantastic at all speeds. 65mph on the highway with the radio off, just to hear the turbo spool-up and down.

At idle, I can't tell much difference with/without the muffler (in terms of loud), but the turbo whistle is noticable.

I wouldn't hesitate to advise anyone to do the same. Next test - towing 11,000 lbs.:sweet
