Well i just picked up a 1995 PSD with 113k, E4OD, 4x4 , Long Bed Extended Cab. I have a problem with it. The guy told me it stalls sometimes....and he said his buddy said it was probally a sensor. So i figured it was a CPS sensor. Well drivin down the at highway speeds... about 60 - 70 mph the vehicle starts to shutter and lose power all the way until i reach about 40mph.Once i get back down to normal driving speeds the truck drive very good UNTIL sometimes at idle it will stall. After reading alot of forums and old school books im leaning towards the torque converter instead of the CPS just because of the 2 symptoms. Now before i take the Torque converter out and replace it i was lookin for maybe a second opinion. And i was also wondering if there are any electronics that i can test that control the Unlocking and locking of the torque converter. Any help would be GREATLY appreciated.
