when my wife rides with me, i love to watch her head bob back and forth when i put the hammer down. it drives her crazy.
i keep tellin her that im gonna do a 4WD launch with her in the truck and she freaks out and yells at me, NO YOUR NOT!!!
Too funny. I don't have the Banks kit, but I've got a few mods (see sig). I 4WD launched mine with the wife and kids in it! She hated it and they loved it. Too fun. They love coming to the drag strip with me to cheer me on. Gotta love a souped up diesel!!

you guys think this is good for your tranny?
those are real expensive trucks your messing with there.
if money is not an issue, carry on.
when you loose your tranny, don't come complaining.

take a chill pill snoeproe, wasn't anyone complaining to begin with. the banks system defuels everytime the tranny shifts, as a safeguard for the tranny. its the only system that i know of that does it, (there maybe others, i'm just not aware of any)

i have run my truck hard for 126,000 while takin very good care of it. never had the first problem with my tranny. i get my truck serviced at all the mileage intervals and make sure that its runnin good all the time.

I don't like the learning process either but that is because I always run out of road to quick. I do wish it was simpler like maybe 1 time from 0-60 and then your done. I run mine on level 5 all the time even when towing just to avoid going back through the process and yes I do watch the guages when towing.

Maybe it's because I drive a dually but I can't smoke the tires from a dead stop, even on level 6, unless I build a little boost first. I assume you guys that are doing this are driving straight trucks? I hope!!

Oh yeah, the other day the wife was following me in her '06 Expedition and I stopped on this little back road and lit them up for her pleasure! I new better but I just had to even though I was going to get an a$$ chewing when we got home, or I thought. After I took off I noticed a little extra smoke around her Expy and yes she lit them up as well. Guess who got the a$$ chewing when we got home! :burnit A family that plays together stays together! :D

you know, i can understand why some think that if you punch it, your gonna tear it up. all i do is put it in 4WD high, build about 10psi boost (1750 rpm) and then let it rip, it hooks up great and never spins a tire. i have done it about 5 or 6 times with no problem.

i am not out here tryin to tear up my truck, but whats the point in doin all this stuff to increase HP & TRQ, and you can't tell me that everyone that does all of these MODS, are only doin it for the increase of MPG. your only kidding yourself if thats your reason.

yeah, i like the increase in fuel mileage, but i aint gonna sit back and tell you thats the only reason. I WANTED MORE POWER AND I GOT IT. i have always liked increase performance all the way around. my dad grew up workin on his own cars, he used to drag race on the track and on the road, i have been around cars & trucks my whole life.

if you got the power, your gonna try it out as much as you possibly can.

come on yall, who are you kiddin, everybody has powerbreaked a car, truck, whatever will smoke the tires, we have all done it.

i will now step down from my soap box in north AL.

I mod my truck so I can help out all the big companies feed and cloth there families, not as a hobby! I only drive my truck to the grocery store once a week and that is 5 miles round trip. I never drive it in the rain because I am afraid that one of the tires my spin a little and wear the tread down. Oh who are we kidding, I drive my truck like a truck! I have crossed the scales with a total just above 24000 GCVW. I drive it everyday and she it always hauling something even if it is A$$. I agree with Bama, how many people have not pressed that go peddle just a little bit more than they should? If you haven't then you definately are missing something!!

Ha! This thread has gone completely out of control. I think we all agree that we didn't modify our trucks to make them go slower, or eat trannies like candy. I personally researched all the computers out there and decided that the banks was the best for me and my truck, some people may believe differently. Now if only I could go from stock to speed loader without teaching....
