Welcome to SDD and welcome to the world of 6.4's! This is my first diesel, and I was really disappointed in the mileage also (considering that everyone else in my family is getting 20-22 mpg with their diesels!). I drive mine really slow an' easy and still can only SQUEEEEZE about 15-16 mpg on a good day. As far as I know, there's not really much we can do about it unless you get rid of that DPF, straight-pipe it, and get a programmer with an economy setting (and then you'll be voiding your warranty unless you can find a mod-friendly stealership). I had to park her at home last summer and ride with my wife when fuel was touching $5/gallon. If fuel starts to climb again THIS summer (which I'm sure it will), she'll be parked again soon.

I know this doesn't give you any answers, but at least you'll know you're not alone!

Don't get too excited over mileage until you have broken in the engine. This will take 15,000 miles! Yes, 15,000 miles. You will get better mileage.
