The yellow plague

Evey year about this time, here in Northern California, we get massive doses of yellow oak pollen that covers everything. It covers cars and trucks. Sticks to car windows and the side of vehicles. If you want to see where you are going, you have to clean your windshield every day. If you want to have a clean vehicle, you have to wash it every day. :rant

Only good thing is that being retired, I have the time. :D
Still, I could use that time for more pleasurable things. I am just glad that we have a four car garage, so I do not have to wash those cars everyday.

Do you guys have the same thing where you live?

The other day down here in san antonio we had mud rain. Every year during the plowing season down in mexico we will get it. If you happen to be driving when the rain starts better hope you have a brand new set of wipers otherwise you cant push it away.

Down here it is a green dust and if you want a clean car or truck, you have to wash it every day. We have about two more weeks of it.
Big Rooster, I had to get my truck and RV washed and waxed there in S/A on Easter Sunday. They were brown from that short rain. A man came by and gave me what I thought was a great deal on doing the RV and washing the truck.

We are almost out of the yellow dust time. It is down to a bare minimum now. That is good wife's allergies were getting out of control.

We're getting the "Corn Flakes" from the Modesto Ash trees. Gets into EVERYTHING. If there's any Dew overnight and you don't get it off... you have to wet it again to loosen it up. They stick like glue.:rant:rant

around here it hasnt started yet, but the pollen is out of control once it gets going. last year the roads were yellow after the rain stuck all the pollen into the pores of the asphalt. then we get dogwood fuzzies in certain areas, they attack me all day long in the shop.
