yeah, we get the yellow dust from oak,
the cottonwood cotton,
the "mud rain" was a new one on me,
it's about hatch time here, when any bridge over a body of water is greased by squished mayflies...

Evey year about this time, here in Northern California, we get massive doses of yellow oak pollen that covers everything. It covers cars and trucks. Sticks to car windows and the side of vehicles. If you want to see where you are going, you have to clean your windshield every day. If you want to have a clean vehicle, you have to wash it every day. :rant

Only good thing is that being retired, I have the time. :D
Still, I could use that time for more pleasurable things. I am just glad that we have a four car garage, so I do not have to wash those cars everyday.

Do you guys have the same thing where you live?
Just dusty up round this way but when the cottonwood starts flying it's gets into everything.

Maxtor I do recall keeping the duster ready to use on the Mustang and F250 in the mornings(less the dew) when we lived in Sacramento:sweet

When we talk spring I think allergies:D

Someone should duplicate the chemical composition of this pollen, because it will stick to anything. It sticks to metal like a magnet, and glass, plastic, etc. Driving 60 mph does not loosen its grip.
And yes,,, sneezing, swollen eyes, runny nose, etc. comes with spring and pollen around here too. :dunno
But,,, hot water, soap, water hose, wins the battle,,, not the war, but your good for a couple of hours.:bama

On a side note Zookie,,,, think about all the pollen we are breathing in . Also all the pollen that is going in our air filters on our vehicles. Hmmmm think I will check my air filters today.

I went to college in pine forest of deep East Texas.........

At this time of year the yellow pine pollen was so thick not only did it cover the cars but it turned the streets and side walks yellow.

I never had allergies until then and have had them ever since.

Think I will too Max. Last year the wife said not much air was coming out of the Dash Hole Dealy's (her words) on the Windstar.. took the cabin filter out.... 80% Plugged with the Ash "Corn Flakes", took the wipers/cowl off.. Heater-A/C inlet..blocked some too.:eek:

Think I'll do the 350 too. ;tu
