Crumm, I also vote to keep it stock. My local Ford dealer has a fully restored 48 F-1 sitting in front of their showroom. The dealer bought it a few years ago, and one of the men in the body shop restored it. It's bright red. I saw it Monday parked right next to the 09 F150's.

crumm my dad has a restored one also wish a seriously hopped up flathead & c4 auto and a 69 camaro rear it flys

Crumm, I don't think you can go wrong if you do it right (...if that makes any sense!?). I'm glad I don't have to decide!

I like resto-mod vehicles I think it would be cool with a powerstroke under the hood. Then smooth out the body with some nice clean lines and a sorta orginal look to the exterior but have some modern comforts. This way you pay tribute to the classic iconic style but have the burp of the stroke to move the truck. Just my 2*
