I have no lights & a chime. Now I'm worrying that I have a warning light bulb that is blown.

ALL of what Robert sez... Check >ALL< yer fluid levels, brakes, tranny. You might even try dis-connecting yer Batteries for about 30 minutes. (resets the PCM systems checks).

plus if you turn the key on and press your mileage trip odometer to reset and hold it in then turn off your key and then turn it back on and release the trip reset it will place the ecm into a test pattern and do a full gauge sweep and light check, then you can scroll through about a half a million ecm checks and codes using the trip button. ,
it will reset when you cycle the key off.
this is providing you have the digital dash with green mileage numbers on the small lcd screen

I dont think this will work for the 2000 X. I tried last night and all i was able to quiet was the key in the ignition.

on a bet one time I removed the cluster on a super duty and removed the buzzer itself. He said I couldn't get rid of it so I desoldered the buzzer and handed it to him!

When you guys figure out how to fix it post it cuz mine has been doing it for a couple of weeks now and I can't find the cause of it.

I killed the key buzzer in mine yesterday thank goodness! I wanted to kill it saturday I was at a family reunion saturday listening to the truck stereo and had to close the doors! I had no internet access so I had to wait till I got home!

You know I just resently ran accross a how to for disabling them. I want the head lights to remind me but the key in is a pain when your trying to consentrate.
