:hail Thanks to the Hazelwood act :deal i should be starting a MS program at A&M this dec/jan

the VA fianlly figured out i cant climb on planes anymore
and the HMFIC chair at the shelby center went away (funding)

so it looks like i am going to be a full time student in Technology Management ;tu

Just what is Technology Management?

Study hard old man ;tu

human factors/risk management
ergonomics
OSHA/industrial hygiene
workplace safety/hazard control
and a few other regulatory classes to help ensure we have a safe workplace :sly:lmao
same stuff i did in the NAVY, but now i get a peice of paper and a new school ring if i complete the program :eek:



you know em as the "safety nazis" at work :innocent

My SIL's husband is an Industrial Hygenist, is what you are going to be doing about the same thing?

They are the family that lives in Jacksonville, FL BTW.

I'm looking at going to school to be a OSHA trainer for workplace safety/hazard control. I already have a hazmat traning.

i havent really got that far, it will be about 2 years of beating the books
and sucking up some grants, by then maybe the economy will be looking better and the local jobs here will spring back into life,
really want to buy into or out the local ford dealer, time is getting about right for that, but folks aint buying new cars :dunno:(.

to be honest i am sort of charged up and ready to get back to class, i actually miss college ;tu
put off the Ms program for a while because of WORK and travelling, so now is the perrrrrfect time i think. maybe,
who knows there might be an intern needing some help

Safety & compliance is an enjoyable job. That's what I'm doing now except I focus more on the EPA compliance since as a state gov't agency we aren't an Employer as defined by OSHA so all of that goes out the window, still have to know it since it is BMP.
