Passed the Class!!!!
I got home from the day long class just in time for the kick-off between the Packers & Seachickens.
I passed everything on my first try. For the shooting evaluation, I put 6 out of 6 rounds on target the first try. Some folks didn't get that done until there 3rd or 4th attempt. Then for the written test, I aced that too.
As it turns out, the chief instructor is a retired Army bird Colonel. One of my classmates was a former Marine, er let me correct that, an inactive Marine. I've heard there is no such thing as an ex-Marine. The bird Colonel teaching the coarse said good thing we didn't have any Navy types in the class, or we'd been there all night waiting for him to find the target.
So now all I have to do is go to the courthouse, get an application package, get a couple of passport pics, get fingerprinted and I'll be legal to be packin' fulltime.
Footnote: One nice aspect of the class, they asked if anyone saw another weapon that they'd like to test fire, they asked if the weapon's owner wouldn't mind (voluntarilly) letting the person try a few rounds. A couple of folks liked my Taurus PT-101 and asked to try a few rounds, which I said sure, no problem.

One guy really liked it, especially with the Pachmayer grips I now have on it. I think he's going shopping. Does it matter he's a postal employee??
