Here's what I was pulling back home from Nebraska this week. It weighs about 12K, and about 5% of that on the tongue. Not quite enough I think. Couldn't go much faster than 55 ever. The 53" Michelins were probably not very balanced either, adding to the swaying. 750 miles. A hair under 9 MPG. Woulda been an alright trip if I didn't loose HPOP fitting halfway through, but oh well.
It's a manure spreader. The industry term wouldn't go through the censor here. It's a bit under 11 feet wide, visibility wasn't too great. People will drive right behind you too, can't even see them. The SCT did a great job slowing it down too, didn't really need my brakes too much, even down hills, in towns, etc. The trailer has no brakes. EGT stayed nice and low on the hills too around 900, even at 2500 RPM and close to 30 psi of boost.
