:eek::eek::eek:

O'crap. Just realized last night when I got home I was looking at the purple that I have in the garage and I thought I picked up 75w140 but it was 75w90 that I put in the rear. Looks like one other thing I'll be redoing this weekend. What is the easiest way to get the fluid out. Probably pull the pan again huh?

Ummmm let someone else chime in here about that. I dont know if you can leave it in there or not. But as far as getting it out...unfortunantly I think the only way to really get it all out of there is going to be taking the pan off. At least you wont have to clean the surfaces that much cause the rtv wont be caked on there!

But i would hold off on doing that until someone else chimes in and says that it def needs to come out....if it were me, I would do it.

if you're not towing then you can get by with the 75w90 but if you're towing then you'll want the 140 in there.

They spec the heavier weight because it gets so hot that the lighter get's too thin at the temps the rear diff sees when towing.
