STEERING WHEEL TOO SOFT!

GAVE AND OLD FRIEND A VISIT(HE HAS A SHOP), TOLD ME IT WAS THE STEERING BOX, BECAUSE MY BRAKES ARE O.K TOLD ME TO CHANGE IT OR REBUILT IT. AUTOZONE WANTS 180 PLUS TAX. LIFETIME AND 80 FOR THE PUMP.

Well... okay... but seems odd the box would go all of a sudden. Normally it's a leak that takes those out, not a mechanical failure. Not to say it's not possible. Again, I'd try cheap parts first.

Besides how many miles are on this rig?

I DID CHECK THE ALIG., IT'S O.K THE STEERING DAMPERS ARE 1 MONTH OLD, I HAVE 124K MILES ON IT.
