Stephen, that's why I'd never have a drop in bedliner. If I put in a sprayed bedliner, I'll have to take the hitch on mine (RBW Hitch) out first. Actually, it should be easy, the slide rails have four big bolts holding it in.

IIRC, a spray-in liner dealer told me that it is best to do the spray in liner first, and then install the hitch.

that is correct isn't it?

Yes. Have the bed sprayed first, then put the hitch in the truck. I don't know about Line-X or Rhino. I used a impendent dealer here in Little Rock and can't believe what a good looking job he did. He pulled all of the bolts out of the floor of the bed and the hooks on the side of the bed he took them off also. Sprayed the bed and then put everything back. It will soon be two years old and is still looking great. I paid $345.00 for it.

I put the hitch in the next day.

Had a drop-in for 8 years on my '98 Dodge Ram. One day after getting my brand new PSD last Feb. 1, it had a Line-X.

'Nuff said.

We install B&W hitches at work and I spray all my liners after the hitch is installed. Seals the edges where you cut your hole and drill for your safety hooks. It is standard practice for Line-X dealers to pull all bed bolts, tie downs, inspection plates, 7 ways, etc... that is in your bed. If you have a rail type hitch. We remove those also. As far as the rust issue. Each shop varies as to what they will do. But in ours we eliminate all the rust we can. Either by grinding, sandbalsting, etc...

I like the colored liners. I've seen gray, blue, tan, gloss black, matte black, and a few home done that looked awful. Seems like its one of those things best left to a shop. My next truck will have one. I heard somewhere Ford's going to offer it as a factory option?
