i hope yours doesn't look this bad...
but the crusty crud on the cap is an indication of a problem - head gaskets or egr cooler/egr or a combination....

take it in and have them check compression and fluids leaked into the egr..

document when and how often and how much coolant you have put in it..

After several days of diagnosis, head gasket leak is the culprit. Eagerly awaiting her return. Funny how many nice rigs you see when you miss your own....:green

Back on the road ! New head gaskets, new intake gaskets, latest PCM update, oil change, and coolant flush. :sweet. Could be perception, but the throttle response has improved with the new PCM update.
