Brother in law has a 2005 diesel truck and he has issues with the interior heat.
About 2 months ago, I suggested the first thing is to check and make sure the coolant level is correct. He said it was low, maybe took 2 quarts.
It seems as if we figured out when it puts out heat, only when you floor it to high r's, I have different thread to address why this could be.
Today, about 2 months after he added coolant, we took a look to figure out why he gets very little interior heat and when he went to let the pressure out of the coolant system, he noticed that is fill tank was empty. The system is pressurizing and I did get coolant out of the heater hoses.
My question to the group is, how does one verify if his truck is eating or leaking coolant?
THanks
