Screwy speedo after disonnecting battery

So the consensus says speedo. You guys know if the speedo on a 01 is servicable or if I have to buy a complete cluster from ford? Looking for the most cost effective way to repair the issue.

Funny thing happened today... I got my valve body from diesel site and installed it today on my lunch break. Speedo was working on the test drive!
