Ripped off!

This my first post I'm sad to say. I have a 95 SD with the Powerstroke. It was vandalized over the Christmas holiday while sitting right in front of my shop. They stole the Injector driver module ($900 @ the dealer), and cut my engine harness damaging the distribution box.

I've called a contact I have at a dealer here in Maryland and they no longer make the engine harness for my truck. It looks like i'll have to replace the distribution box along with harness that I can't find. If anyone has info on where to possibly get a used one I would be very grateful.

If you dont need the truck yesterday you might look on ebay for IDM's, you can probably pick one up there for under $200.00.

Now the wiring harness, are you talking about the PCM harness?

I have had my IDM Harness replaced in the past.

I had a Tire Blowout (not any tire, a 38" tire) and it messed up part of the plug that goes into the IDM.

What I was able to do was find a JunkYard that had one of these trucks in there and just cut it OUT of it, as low as you can and then just SPLICE it back togeather.

Seemed to work fine, and been running it like that for a while now

Well I found hopefully everything I need. I got to searching the web for OE parts and ran across www.directfordparts.com he explained to me that he worked at the biggest Ford dealership in Nevada. He found my wire harness in Wisconsin and he had the (IJM) Injector Driver Module.

The sad thing about it all is that he said any good parts person could have done the same thing he did. Everyone at my local Ford dealerships here Maryland said the harness was obsolete, he just went the extra mile.

I would recommend Mike @ Direct Ford Parts if anyone needs anything, he even sold the parts to me cheaper that I was quoted here in Md.

I would bet that they wanted to steer you to the sales department so you could get a replacement for your "obsolete" truck.
