Going nuts with this and ready to kill some wheel and tire shops. I have a 04 F-350, psd with a 2" lift in the front. The wheel shops are telling me I cant go bigger then 17" rims witch I'm find with. But there telling me that the 265/75/16 or 17 is as big as I can go tire wize. So what size tire and rims will work with out the way the truck sits now?

anyone that says you cant go bigger than 17" on any superduty is an idiot. You could easily go as high as 24", if you wanted to.

With a 2" lift, you could probably fit 35" x 12.5" tires. Alot of guys run 33"x12.5 with no lift. It all depends on whether you want as big a tire as possible or if your just looking to go slightly bigger.

I'm looking at running 33x12.5 just to fill in the wheel well a little, and change the rims to something better looking. Thinking 17x10 with a 5" to 4" back space. The Back space is what I dont know about.

i dont believe you have to worry about the backspacing. Majority of the wheels with our bolt pattern were designed for superdutys so the backspacing should be fine with just about any 8x170 bolt pattern wheel.

the backspace SHOULD be a concern...99-04 has a different
backspaceing compared to the 05-current (assuming were talking
f250/f350).

the 99-04 has leaf springs up front and the 05-current wheels
would HIT the leaf springs (when turning).
