Rear pinion seals leaking

has anyone heard of a constant issue w/ this problem. mine went south last week and local driveline shop had 2 opportunities to get it right and FAILED - they passed on the third time is a charm and refunded my $$ and told me to take it to ford cause it was a constant thorn in fords side. anyone heard anything different - a tsb or so???!!!

hey red, i think powerboatr had some trouble with his 2002, something about Ford having to redo it 3 times to get it right.

Had trouble out of my 99 F250 they had to redo it twice the second time they found a bad bearing .I still wonder why they did not find it the 1st time.

I have owned has had a rear pinion seal problem. My 98 Explorer had the seal replaced twice before they finally replaced the bearings. My 03 Explorer has had the seal replaced. My 04 350 had the seal replaced a year ago and it's wet again. The 06 350 has a wet spot...gonna have to be replaced. Ya suppose it's time someone gave Dana Corp some competition?

i saw a TSB on this and it said if leak continues, change the yoke. apparently they have had some problems with the yoke being out of round...hope this helps a little....
