Rear Diff Leak...............

Major leak on the left rear axle............its slinging oil everywhere and the truck is out of commision until I get it fixed.

Can anyone send me a PDF article out of the manual so I can get this fixed.

check the fluid level, top it up and try to keep an eye on it....its probably
just the seal BUT you never know...and 90w is terribly slippery stuff
when it gets under a tire or on a brake rotor...

try making sure the vent for rear diff. is not plugged....if it is, it can usually blow a seal out...you should be ok for another day, depending how far you have too drive....probaly have too replace e-brake shoes and possibly rear pads, depending how saturated in gear oil they are....just my 2cents....hope this helps

for the hour & half it'd take to fix it, I'm thinking just fix it...

Does the axle have to come out..........

Does the pumpkin have to be opened.........

Are any special tools required like a spanner wrench...........

Can't remember which oil goes in the rear..........75-140W or 90W

I want to get this fixed this morning before it gets too hot.
