50ms here in WI 
Question to the IT department

If you are familiar with wsping pro pack, I see numerous time outs when using throughput. Most problems are changing from one web page to another. Slow to time outs. This only happens on this website. No problems on the others I use. Also this problem is sporadic. Could be a router problem. Average ping times now are in the 85 ms bracket.

I just pinged the site here and averaged 43ms over several tries. When I open a new screen on this site it comes up nearly instantaneous? I have a 64bit dual core CPU and 4GB of RAM and a new Nvidia video card so most everything displays pretty fast.

I have yet to see any besides the apache issues we had the other day when it wouldn't come up at all.

I'm retired and surf the net a good portion of the day to break up the boredom, I pop in here to browse or lurk many times a day. This site and the oilburners site have the slowest loading pages of any I visit regularly throughout the day.
I don't have the blazing fast connections most do, I'm on 768k DSL and it's definatly noticable.
And my puter isn't exactly a slouch either and I keep the software up to date with one exeption. I run IE6, I don't like 7 right now.

- epox 8RDA3+ dual DDR motherboard
- 1 gig PC3200 dual DDR ram (2 x 512 matched)
- two Seagate barracuda 160 gig SATA hard drives in RAID stripped configuration
- ATI Radeon X800 PRO AGP video card w/ 256mb GDDR3 ram
- Windows XP pro with all settings on performance, not looks.
- Zone alarm firewall... windows is off
- AVG anti virus
- NoAds pop up blocker.. windows shut off
