I have a sticker that was printed out on a computer that I want to put on the window of my truck. I'm worried about it fading and getting worn. I was thinking about putting a piece of contact paper over it, but I don't know if that will keep it from fading. Any suggestions are greatly appreciated.

It may cost a buck or two, but you could always take it to a Kinko's or something similar and getting it laminated.:dunno
That should protect it for a while.

Unfortunately, the INK will fade over time unless you get it done from a Sign Shop that uses special ink for outdoor use.
That is why I do everything in vinyl ;)

What is the sticker if I may ask?

I curious as Big K.

Just don't worry about it and print out like 10 of them. Start fresh every couple months :sweet.

No seriously, bring it to a Sign Shop.

It has already been laminated. I just didn't want the ink to fade.

It's a memorial sticker for an older friend of mine. He passed away suddenly in January of a heart attack. He was an OTR driver, an anouncer for the NTPA and OSTPA, as well as a long-time mini rod puller. He recently started a mini rod pull to help raise money for the volunteer fire department. They had the stickers available for a donation and most guys put them on their tractors.

Shortly after he passed away, I heard a few drivers talking about him on the CB while driving to work. Thought it might be appropriate to put in the back window of my truck.
