Just started this week, but at about 1,700 RPM while at a steady speed I get sparatic power loss, dropping about 300 rpm's or so then back up. It has a hard time keeping at that RPM. If Im accelerating its fine, but it seems no matter what gear, that RPM range is having issues. I just replaced the fuel filter, and I have a fresh tank of fuel, but no change. Any ideas?

What's your fuel pressure doing? Is it falling off at that RPM?

Sounds about like what mine was doing when the fuel pump started going bad.

Not sure what the fuel pressure is doing, dont have a gauge. I was hoping to find a quick fix and not have to take it to the dealer. I do have a full warranty, just cant wait for them to come back with an excuse not to honor it.

Basically, it feels like Im tapping the gas pedal over and over

The pump is located on the inside of the frame rail behind the left front tire( just behind the left spring shackle if is a 4x4). It is round and black and has an orange warning sticker on it.

That is correct as far as the high pressure pump goes, there is a lift pump in the fuel tank. If the lift pump goes bad the HP pump will suffer for it.

There is no "lift pump" in the tank. There is only the frame mounted fuel pump.

Did you try to manually overide the cold air flap? The valve is on the bottom of the turbo you should be able to wire this forward. It will take less tim if you take off the pass side charge pipe off first. P.S. you will need a small mirror. Good luck.
