New Turbo

Well I got my truck back yesterday with the new turbo, Third One. Runs
like a new truck and it should with only 34k on it. I'll have to put through
the real test soon with the camper attached.

Happy motoring guys:thanks

Robert,

I was thankin' the big guy up stairs that I was already 3/4 way up the SOB! It literally sounded like a 747 was landing in my engine compartment and under my dashboard trying to get up the rest of the way. Coming back down after the trip was fine, but I was on edge and I kept saying to myself 'is this thing ever gonna end!!' I have been up and down that mountain a ton of times but never did it feel as long as when hauling a heavy load! I had it in tow/haul mode and it did fine and hardly had to use my brakes at all. Seemed to tach up pretty good though and had my finger on the TH button just in case it got too high. There was a guy with a Cheby 1500 hauling a 2 horse trailer going way too fast down the mountain and I could smell his brakes cookin' on the way down. I'm surprised the horses didn't pass-out from smoke inhilation:eek:

I haven't ever blew one yet, but I have heard reports from several others about blowing CAC boots. Seems like most removed the crankcase vent from the intake system and cleaned all the oil out of the CAC and the tubes to solve the problem. Seems like the oil coating inside from the CCV made the boots fairly slick causeing the pop off.
