My truck had this code that I read with my edge insight but don't know what it is. Happened right after I towed 13k a couple hundred miles.

Code P0299 - Turbo Underboost
Possible - Turbo(vanes sticking due to soot buildup or rust), turbo solenoid/VGT or EBP sensor.

check your I/C tubes and boots for leaks....just a thought

I can't make it set the code again and it will make the 27lbs of boost it allways had I think it will go in for a check up since its still under warrenty.

My Truck just through that same code and only after pulling my trailer. I read it with my code reader (turbo under boost) and then removed the Banks six gun (just in case that caused it) and cleared the code. All was fine for 3 months until I pulled my trailer again for about 80 mi. The code got thrown right after I started my truck back up after a pit stop. I took the truck to the dealer when I got home and they ended up replacing the Turbo with a remanufactered one under warranty. If no warranty, I was looking at $1740. That was a close call!

Mine goes in Tues. for a check up. Had it happen again after merging down an on ramp then had 3 lbs of boost and was running 1010 egt cruising at 65mph. Also have a surge at low rpms when locked up in high gear. Feels almost like a missfire?? Have to tow the F-100 to the strip this weekend (400mile round trip) so I hope it doesn't act up then.

It low boosted twice more on the trip and set the check engine lite. Just got it back from the dealer who had it for 2 days. Couldn't find anything wrong with the turbo and it passed all there tests. They did reflash with newer updated fix all cure all. I think I'll keep my camera ready so next time I can get a shot of the guages when it does it. Was happy with my dealer till now.
