Don't act like you didn't get it. Just pay up it's better then thinking you never got it and having a warrant out cause you didn't pay the ticket.

Not in Virginia - got ya is got ya. You don't pay it and it's points and possible suspension. And suspension means having to go stand in line with birth records, pass ports, etc etc.

Just pay it and forget it - lesson learned.

Outta curiosity, do photo radars take pics of the front plate or rear?

Michigan has only rear plates. In front you can put any decorative plate you want, or you can go "naked" on the front bumper.

I've never been hit by one - but one of my employees (speeding) did and the picture included showed a rear view (Virginia). My daughter got caught in DC - (didn't clear the intersection before it turned red) pictures there showed rear and front.

Don't know about down there but up here 18mph over the posted speed is a major offense. Anything more than 15mph is considered a major traffic offense. We got a little pamphlet at work that tells a little about it. If you get two major offenses(15mph, running stop light, following too close, hit and run, ext...)then you lose your CDL for 60 days then if it happens again you loose it indefinitely. Since I need my CDL I think I would go to court and fight it. With nothing but a picture of your plate and a reading from the radar who is to say that the thing didn't malfunction? Oh wait you did "so i took off and left him a cloud of smoke". I guess you should just pay it and behave yourself from now on..

figure you're caught and pay it. The old joke about the guy who was sent the picture of his car and sent back a picture of a check. then was sent a picture of handcuffs comes to mind.
I certainly don't agree with the picture and radar, officers have discretion if they are wrighting a ticket. Just one more step for big brother to control our lives without lifting a finger.:cop :watchout

here i think they take pics of front and rear but i dont have anything in the front and i know they got a clear shot of that but i think when i passed the dodge there was a car that blocked the rear of my truck so hopefully thats the case if not how does it go against my record? does your insurance go up after one or is it after so many then it goes up?

from what I knows its just like a regular stop light camera type of ticket, they send it to your house, and i'm sure they got your plate, they zoom in on it

lucky me, I got redlight spray, so those cameras cant catch my plates, and you cant really tell what kind of truck it is from how close they zoom in on the plates.

And no, i don't run red lights, but if you're in the middle of them and you have to leave after it turns red then they'll give you a ticket

ACLU is fighting this because there isn't any concrete proof who was driving.
