Question parking brake back plate

The parking brake back plates on my truck has rusted out to the point that I can't use my parking brakes. I got a price from a shop and I was told that they were about $600 per side and are only a dealer item. Is this true?

Sorry about that. I drive a 1999 F250 Superduty 7.3L 6 speed super cab.

I think Dorman makes them.
Try an auto parts store with a commercial department.

I would suggest either walking in or calling the parts department at your local dealer and asking them for the price on the parts. The labor is going to be a bit expensive to pay a shop to do it since it will involve removing the hub & axle shafts to get the backer plate off of the axle.
