I found a small oil leak in the valley while changing my gpr. The oil is in the little recessed spot in the block under where the innercooler pipes join. Any ideas where to start looking?
check the hpop to make sure no fittings are loose, mine had a plug damn near fall out on me about two years ago, couldnt find it, couldnt find it and finally took it to the stealership and they dyed the oil and found the plug loose, i've seen a couple other guys on here talk about it too..how many miles on the truck?
Could just be the HPOP o-rings leaking. Common problem with these trucks. The oil runs back the valley and runs down over the bell housing if the leak gets bad enough.
81K on the truck. I looked it over and couldn't see the leak. Maybe the PO fixed it and didn't clean up the mess or maybe I just missed it. I'll keep an eye out for the puddle to return.
Best way to find it is to clean the top or the motor real good and then keep an eye on it for a day or two. Follow the oil towards the front of the motor. By cleaning it and keeping an eye on it, it will norrow down you'r search area. Good luck and let us know how it goes for you.
Also, fill in you'r profile so we know what model you have and what mods (if any) you have done.

seems like i remember someone saying its about a 30 min job. i think theres just 4 bolts you take loose that hold the top of the pump to the bottom. you loosen those, pull off the top, take out the old o-rings and put in the new ones and then reinstall.
