Oil filter fiasco

31 bucks for that amsoil filter ! i get TWO fram (factory spec) filters
at walmart for 28 !

True, bush, but you would only get 15,000 max out of the 2 combined. THIS filter will go 25,000!

i only get 10k miles outta TWO filters...7k/7.5k change intervals
dont work for me.

Same here. 4-4500 and I'm looking for the drain pail. The 7500 drain interval is a mystery to me. My oil comes out like dish water at 4500 so I try to do 4,000. I would imagine the new 6.4 would be less harsh on the oil now that it doesn't have to fire the injectors.

the 6.4L calls for oil & filter change intervals of 10k.

Not to second guess ya, bush, but I believe the filter on the 6.4, according to Ford, gets changed every other change. I read that on a promotional ad about the engine.

accourding to FORD they say the oil AND the filter should be changed every
10k miles on the 6.4L...and thats under the BEST/NORMAL operating
conditions <the oil and filter get changed more frequently, obviously, if the
operating conditions get "worse"....towing, dusty etc>

i change my oil every 10k and filters every 5k...Amsoil filters and 5W-40 oil !!!

Your right, Bush. Its the fuel filters they say are good for 20k. Again, a mystery. They sent out a TSB saying you could go to 20,500 from the 17,500 in the owners manual for the 6.0 but the 6.4 is 20?
